I’m sorry I love you part VI

“Aiba chan, I’m sorry these few days I made you work alone”, that was the second day after Sho flied to Hongkong again, and Ohno recovered from his fever, he missed the coffee shop so much and very glad to see his best friend again. Sho called him almost every hours, but Ohno didn’t pick up the phone, Jun also do the same thing, even visited him to his apartment, Ohno let the man knocked without opening the door. Ohno wanted to clear his mind by being alone.

“Ohno kun, I’m the one who should apologize, I even didn’t visit you”, Aiba gave him a little hug and stared him with curious look, actually he wanted to visit but Ohno forbids him hardly, so Aiba had no choice.

“You still look so troubled”, Aiba touched Ohno’s face, realize that his friend lost his weight these five days, “What happened?, did Sho chan call you? He called just now, want to know why you didn’t pick your phone”.

Ohno sighed and didn’t say anything, he doesn’t really know what to do with Sho right now.

“Aiba chan”.

“Mmmm”

“I want to escape”, Ohno muttered, smiled bitterly to the taller man, “I’m tired”, Ohno continued. Aiba looked so surprised, this is the first time Ohno talked straightly about his feeling.

“But Ohno kun, it will be rude for both of you, I’m sure there’s a way”, Aiba put his hand to Ohno’s shoulder, encourage him. Ohno shook his head, “I already think about it so hard, we better end this. Sho kun can concentrate to his job without me bothering him”, Ohno touched his engagement ring, it will be hard but sooner or later he must forget Sho.

“Don’t tell me it’s because of Matsumoto guy”, Aiba didn’t like Jun since the first time he met the handsome man, “I told Sho chan about him”, Aiba said, he saw Ohno’s reaction, but the latter looked not so surprised at all.

“Sho already know”, Ohno replied shortly.

“Sho chan told me to keep you away from him”, Aiba remembered how Sho’s voice when he told him to keep Ohno, explained that Jun is dangerous and perhaps will do something bad to Ohno, when Aiba asked further, finally Sho told him that he and Jun know each other since a long time.

“He just wanted to get revenge on Sho chan”, this time Ohno was surprised. He lifted his head up, “Ahat did you say? I didn’t get it at all, what revenge?”.

Aiba explained clearly, just like what Sho told him about Jun, when he finished, Ohno just shook his head. Jun didn’t look like a bad guy to him, oppositely he was so nice, warm, and kindhearted.

“Can you avoid the man for Sho chan?”, Aiba took a glance to his friend’s face who became pale by hearing his explanation.

“I don’t understand”, Ohno whispered, Sho’s worry face appeared in his mind.

“Listen! Matsumoto guy only pretend to like you, he just want to make Sho chan depressed, I don’t want you to leave Sho chan for him”, Aiba stressed the word ‘pretend’ when he said it.

“I will never do that Aiba chan”, Ohno smiled.

“That makes me relieve”, Aiba chuckled and leave Ohno to the kitchen. Ohno grinned to himself, he doesn’t want to betray anyone. No matter he thinks about his relationship with Sho, he knew the day like this will come. Where they can’t find an answer for their relationship, where to heading.

Ohno walked out of his café and his head digested Aiba’s words. Even he was shocked by the fact about Jun, he tried to act normal. He’s so busy with his mind and didn’t realize someone blocked his way.

“Finally I found you Ohno san”, Ohno looked up and saw Matsujun’s face, he’s so gorgeous in winter coat.

“J-Jun?”, Ohno stepped back automatically.

“I miss you”, Jun approaches him and stopped when he realized Ohno’s face showed scared reaction, “Ohno san?”, Jun felt the other moved further.

“What do you want from me?”, Ohno asked, he remembered what Aiba had told him.

“I just want to see you, that’s all”, Jun tried to smile and moved closer, try to reach Ohno’s hand, but the other also moved away.

“Stay away from me!”, Ohno shouted, “You just want to pay your revenge”.

Jun frowned immediately when he heard the last word, “Who wants to get revenge?”, Jun yelled back to the shorter, “I just….”

“Liar!”, Ohno screamed now, “You want to hurt Sho kun don’t you?”.

“You don’t have any idea what kind of person your fiancé was”, Jun smirked, “He’s the person who will sacrifice everything for his caree”, Jun continued while stepping closer to Ohno who shook his head slowly.

“No!”, Ohno didn’t want to hear it, no matter he wants to believe what Jun had said, but he wants to deny it.

“If he loves you, why didn’t he come to you when you needed him the most?”.

“He came for me”, Ohno whispered, his chest became faint when he remembered that Sho leave again and again.

“Ohno san, I love you for real. I can make you happier more than he did, I swear!”, he approaches Ohno again, Ohno wanted to yell at Jun, but his voice left him, he saw Jun moved closer to him.

“Don’t you dare to touch him!”, someone pulled him away from Jun.

“Aiba chan!!”.

Aiba’s tall figure stood in front of Ohno, protecting him from Jun.

“Wait! What is it?”, Jun questioning confusingly.

“I don’t want you to ruin my best friend’s life”, Aiba sizzles to Jun, his eyes showed how much he hated the man who standing in front of him.

“So, this time Sakurai pointed you to guard his fiancé?”, Jun smirked, he stared to Aiba, mocking him.

“I don’t care what will you say, I just want you to stay away from him, and don’t dare to see him anymore!”, Aiba dragged Ohno’s hand and walked away from Jun, but the latter didn’t give up, he chased after them and blocked their way.

“Wait!”, at least let me talk to Ohno san”, Jun stand in front of them, locked his sight to Ohno, who stares to other direction.

“Your explanation is not worth listen!”, Aiba dragged Ohno again, passing Jun, without giving him any chance to talk. Jun grabbed Ohno’s hand to stop him, “Ohno san, it’s between you and me, I don’t care about him”, Jun pointed Aiba with his head.

Ohno ovened his mouth to answer, but Aiba flied in front of him, pushed Jun aside, “Don’t mess with me”, Aiba said angrily, Jun approaches and took Aiba’s collar.

“Aiba chan!”, Ohno found himself pulled Aiba away from Jun, “Don’t do that, let’s go home”, this time, he’s the one who grabbed his friend’s hand, stepped further from Jun who stood silently, it was clear he lose the game, Ohno even didn’t look back. Jun walked to his car slowly, the cloudy day looks worse and cold for him, the desire to make Ohno as his own was completely failed.

“damn”, he cursed silently.

Sho called again when Ohno finished his lunch that Sunday with Aiba. He picked the phone and chose the further place from his friend to talk.

“Sho kun I’m sorry”, that was the first word Ohno said.

“I called you a hundred times Satoshi, what the hell is going on? Are you still angry to me?”, Sho keeps questioning with harsh voice, want to know the reason why his lover avoided him these whole week.

“I just want to clear my head Sho”.

“Of what?”.

“Of us”, Ohno’s answer made Sho quite for seconds.

“you said you will wait for me Satoshi”, Sho seems already know the worst thing will happen, his frightened to lose his fiancé had been haunting him for a long time.

“I already found the best way”, Ohno tried to hold his sadness, he knew that his decision will hurt both of them, but there’s no other better way he can think of, so he took a deep breath and said, “We end this”.

“What? Wait!, you can’t, I don’t want..”

“Sho kun, please”, Ohno was trying very hard not to cry, “If you love me, we’ll be better take this way”.

“But Satoshi, our engagement, marriage??”, Sho’s voice is so panic and shaking badly. But Ohno answered calmly, “There will be no such things then”, he knows it’s cruel and unfair but he ensures himself he chose the best exit.

“No!”, Sho yelled to the phone, “No Satoshi, I won’t let you go!”, Ohno let his boyfriend shouted and forced him to depend their relationship, but that can’t change his decision. Ohno explained to Sho this is pure his own decision without anyone told him to do this, and when Sho asked him whether Jun involved or not, he ensures Sho there’s nothing relate to the guy.

“Satoshi, at least I want to meet you, I don’t want to end this via phone, it’s not romantic at all, and you know how much I hurt right now?”, Sho was really crying now, he begged to Ohno, but the latter changed his heart like a stone which can’t feel anything.

Ohno switch his phone off and back to the table where Aiba is waiting for him, he forced a smile to his face when he saw Aiba is smiling to him.

“How?”, Aiba asked.

“Well I think I took the right step this time”, Ohno drink his remaining juice and looked to the street outside.

1 year later.

Ohno cleaned the table that morning, today is the weekend, he prepared extra table and also special menu, since the café will be crowded as usual. He walked to the kitchen, checked everything and smiled when he found today will be another great day for him and Aiba.

It has been a year passed since that day, he met up with Sho, who looked desperate and the sadness covered his eyes, but Ohno still chose to end their bond, he returned the ring to Sho and hoped that Sho will find another person better than him. Ohno cried all night long after that, the next day he reminded himself to start a new day and a new life.

He sighed and comeback to present time, he’s happy, the loneliness has gone away, and the most important he shares his life with the right person who loves him completely and so does he. He’s hummed while preparing the cups, and when he finished he saw someone walked closer, hold him from behind.

“I guess you’re so happy this morning”, a voice whispered into his ear.

“I am always happy when I’m with you….Aiba chan”, Ohno turned his body and hug the tall guy tight. The other leaned a kiss to his cheek softly and smiled brightly, they became friends for so many years and just realize that they are supposed to be together, it was awkward for them in the beginning, but then as the time goes by, they started to get used to it. Ohno was glad that Aiba always there for him, and he decided to live together with Aiba a few months after they become lovers.

Ohno released his body from the other and looked to Aiba’s sparkling eyes, “I love you”, he whispered.
