Warning: Bad English, sorry

Jun loved sunglasses; his favorite was with the purple handle.

Jun loved cooking; he always made pasta every other weekend.

Jun loved watching late night movies with uncountable beers.

It was weird that Ohno could recall every detail of their togetherness after months of separation with the man he used to call the love of his life. The past seemed more compromising than the meeting he was leading at the moment; the production manager was still reading his long-boring report and Ohno couldn’t grab what the man was talking about.

He pretended to listen, but his mind was drifting away to the day when he and Jun went for a holiday in Paris; it seemed like a century ago.

“Ohno san, would you like to give some comments on the production report?” Nino asked him.

“Nothing in particular, you can keep going,” he said, pushing the report away and listened to the financial manager half-heartedly.
He headed towards his office room as the meeting ended; sipping a glass of water and slumping at the armchair.

How could he forget someone as pretty as Jun if he got to see him all the time on the TV screen?

Jun was promoting his new movie on TV, magazines, radio and the commercial boards – he was literally everywhere. It was some kind of torture for Ohno to see his ex, even if he didn’t want to. They had never contacted each other since they broke up. It seemed that Jun could move on easier than Ohno did – it seemed that he was the only one who broke into pieces.

“Ohno san, can I come in?”

“You already did,” Ohno turned at his secretary who entered the room with heavy folders in his hands.

“A proposal,” Nino said, sitting down across from Ohno. “It’s from Storm entertainment.”

“Turn it down,” Ohno said, knowing that agency was Jun’s label.

“Pardon me,” Nino rolled his eyes, “look, if you turn it down, the label will go to our rival and I’m sure you don’t want it. They want us to responsible for the costumes of the upcoming movie, starring Matsumoto Jun,” Nino gave an emphasis to that particular name.

“Just do what is right,” Ohno mumbled, avoiding Nino’s eyes.

“The main actor wanted to see you, by the way,” Nino put down the proposal on the table and left him alone.

“When?” Ohno asked as Nino reached the door.

“Now, he’s outside.”

“What?” Ohno stood up and chased Nino towards the door. “You didn’t discuss it with me first.”

“Your schedule is empty after the meeting, so I arranged it, you are a professional, don’t you, nothing personal,” Nino lifted his brows and grinned innocently at Ohno.

It was personal for Ohno and he knew that Nino did it on purpose; he knew that Ohno missed Jun like crazy but he wasn’t sure he would feel better after meeting the man. On the opposite, his mood would turn gloomy for the whole week.

A knock was heard on his door, followed by Nino’s personal assistant and a man whom he missed the most and used to love with all his heart.

“Thank you,” Jun thanked the assistant and turned at Ohno who turned stiff on his seat. “Hi,” he greeted Ohno with a smile on his lips.

“Please take a seat, how may I help you?” Ohno asked formally.

“I just want to say hi,” Jun spread his sight around, “you didn’t reply my last message.”

Ohno had received Jun’s email last two weeks but he had no bravery to open it. He had decided that he would push Jun away from his life – forever after.

“I’ve been busy,” he mumbled.

“As expected from a president,” Jun chuckled and showed his mesmerizing smile. “I’ll be playing a role in movie, where my boyfriend would be a president, so I guess I can act properly based on my experience.”

I know, Ohno thought. He had read on the online celebrity gossip that Jun would be playing a role of an ordinary employee and had a crush on his boss. His co-star was an actor whom Ohno disliked (he basically hated all of Jun’s co-stars).

“Good to hear that,” Ohno said.

“So, thank you for having me, Ohno san,” Jun said as he stood up from the chair.

“You’re welcome,” he answered, feeling a pang in his heart as Jun addressed him with his family name.

He watched the other guy exiting his office room and wished he could chase him, explaining that he didn’t mean to break up with him at the first place. However, he stayed still and felt he had just lost Jun once more.

Nino entered the office a few minutes later with a cup of tea; he stole a glance at Ohno’s gloomy face and gave him a supporting pat on his shoulder.

“Everything will be alright,” he said.

“Easy to say,” Ohno took the tea cup and thanked the man.

Everything will be alright for Jun, he thought. But he needed more time to recover from his melancholy feeling. Ohno brushed his hair with his fingers and looked outside the window, inhaling deeply. It was hard to date someone like Jun who could slip through his fingers anytime; maybe letting him go was the best option.
