Translation TV Guide Arashi Cross Talk

Jun: Let’s talk about the rare thing and cool thing Arashi had done in 2016.
Nino: Yes, let’s do it.
Sho: That one is for Nino, I don’t know whether it is rare or cool, though (laugh). The worn out flannel shirt he always wears, its back even completely tear apart.
Nino: That is fashion, you guys just don’t understand it (laugh).
Jun: Where is that shirt come from?
Ohno: The material is somehow different, right?
Nino: That is the shirt Aiba kun and Sho chan bought for me. Everyone told me that it was worn out, so I threw it once.
Aiba: Yes, yes.
Nino: I threw it, but a while ago, when I opened my closet, it was there.

Sho: That’s scary!
Jun: It came back.

Jun: You’re great. I want to compliment you for your tap dance in Arena Tour. The one you did during the Dome Tour was electrical but you danced for real in Arena.
Aiba: The tap dance is his cool thing. I watched him in every performance, he was terrific.
Sho: Talking about Arena Tour, Ohno san was bitten by mosquito on our way back by bus from Shizuoka.
Ohno: That was quite bad.
Jun: What was that? I didn’t know about it.
Ohno: My ankle was all itchy and I couldn’t sleep at all. Aiba chan was beside me that time.
Aiba: Yes.
Ohno: Aiba chan wasn’t bitten and I thought it was weird, that was when it came…
Sho: What? The mosquito?
Ohno: It flew away. Sho chan gave me the skin cream to stop it from itching.
Jun: Why didn’t I know it? Did I read the script all the way?
Sho: It was before I went to Rio, so I brought the skin cream to treat insect bites.
Aiba: It was great that you bring the skin cream with you, should we consider it as cool or rare act?
Nino: We can include it for both (laugh).
Jun: Aiba san always trained his muscles all the time, from Arena Tour until we start Dome tour.
Ohno: It’s great.
Sho: But during Yokohama Arena concert, he told me that the water from the shower ‘caves in’ to his body (laugh). I told him that water don’t cave in to someone’s body.
Aiba: Because the water pressure was so strong it was really hurt.
Nino: I think Matsumoto san is the greatest. He still had time to arrange the concert plan while working for the drama. That was the cool thing about him.
Sho: It was 100% instead of 99.9 (laugh). I heard from Kagawa san that they went for drink during the filming period.
Aiba: What a great stamina.
Sho: He’s the old school guy.
All: Ahahaha.
Ohno: The Shouwa’s* star. (Japanese year before Heisei).
Nino: He’s really great.
Jun: It was because of the mood and circumstances.
Aiba: I found Ohno san’s cool thing. He created the choreography for us and he told me ‘It’s an easy choreography but it would be flashy’.
Jun: Which song?
Aiba: Tango, (Two to tango). He was cool when he told about the new choreography.
Nino: He said something like ‘I got it.’
Ohno: The choreography which is easy to remember but with an impact, now I know how to do it.
Aiba: You’re committed.
Ohno: But I’m so happy that you guys memorize my choreography almost immediately. I would be in trouble if you can’t memorize it. Aside from that, you did it without protest, as expected from Arashi members.
Jun: Ohno san’s ‘Bad Boy’ was really bad, though (laugh).
Ohno: Ahahaha.
Aiba: By the way, do you guys think that Nino’s bed hair for the whole year is quite horrible?
Ohno: (Looking into Ninomiya’s hair after photo shoot), I can tell it now (laugh).
Sho: His hair was terrible a while ago.
Aiba: It makes think, how did he sleep until his hair turned into that shape? The bed hair was no joke (laugh).
Jun: Do you sleep while standing on your head?
Sho: His hair looked like ducktail.
Nino: Yes, it looked like ducktail once, when we rehearsal, wasn’t it?
Ohno: Your hair looked like it was blossoming from the side.
Sho: It’s the work of art (laugh).
Nino: It’s a kind of art.
Aiba: Sho chan told me that the clothes I gave him a long time ago…
Sho: A~, that was no good.
Aiba: I thought so, too (laugh). It was a rare act.
Ohno: How about that one, when Matsujun wore the shoes with thorns all over its surface.
Sho: Ahahaha, that was…
Ohno: When we were checked before boarding the plane, the detector produced sound all the time, pi-pi-pi- (laugh).
All: Ahahaha.
Sho: I think everyone knows it was the shoes, but all of them kept quiet (laugh).
Jun: I took off my coat, my belt and my watch.
Nino: But the detector kept on sounding.
Sho: That was the shoes.
Aiba: I watched from behind and found out that it was the shoes.
Nino: The sound never stopped. Recently, I thought that his private clothes starting to calm down, but at the end, he still wore something with many thorns on it (laugh).
All: Ahahaha.

Sho to Jun à He came twice to ‘Abunai Yakai’, even though Ariyoshi san said that we aren’t getting along with each other (laugh). But I was happy that he came to my TV show, I was glad to hear his talk about the bonsai.

Jun to Sho à We have a group mail with only the five of us. Sho kun often sent the pictures. I laughed when he sent the video from Rio and said something like ‘All the people in Japan, can you hear me?’ (laugh).

Ohno to Nino à When I filmed for my movie, Nino was at the same location for his work and he came to the studio where I filmed, it made me happy. I came to ‘Nino san’ for the first time and it was fun.

Nino to Ohno à Riida was so busy when he filmed for his drama and that time we also had arena tours. His schedule could murder him (laugh). But he said no protest and kept on working.

Aiba to Jun à Matsujun always wear the jersey pants I gave him as his birthday gift. He often wears it during concert rehearsal. It really makes me happy that he wears my present.

Jun to Aiba à Aiba kun gave me a pair of jersey pants with the wrong color on my birthday and said ‘these pants are nice wear’. It was between grey and black, but it was indeed a great wear. I always wear it during the live tours before starting the real performance.

Ohno to Aiba à This year, Aiba chan trained his muscles all the time. He trained during Arena and Dome tours, it’s too bad that we couldn’t go to Ginza to drink this year (laugh).

Aiba to Ohno à Riida said that he wanted to watch the foreign drama that Nino and I are watching. That’s why we bought the DVD as his birthday present, it would be nice if he began to be addicted to it.

Sho to Nino à He’s really great if it’s about the game. He got the popular game very quickly (laugh). The game information is always provided at Nino’s spot of the green room and he always checks it properly.

Nino to Sho à Sho san is related to Rio this year. I watched him on TV and thought that he’s great in doing all of his works during the limited time. As the bonus, he bought us sandals for souvenir, we’re grateful for it.
