NO AIR

“Satoshi!!”

Jun ran to his lover who is standing at the edge of the ravine of a waterfall where they should take photographs like what Ohno requested to him. Jun was enjoying the panorama with his camera before realize that Ohno is disappearing to the ravine and he was ready to jump.

“Satoshi, don’t do that, okay, come on, take my hand,” Jun slowly walked to Ohno, afraid that the other would jump in any minute to the water below him.

Jun has no idea why Ohno came to the ravine, seems his face was serious enough to jump to the water, they don’t have any problem in their relationship, everything went perfectly for this one year, Ohno even dragged Jun to the places where he can take many good pictures, and here they are, above the ravine where the sound of the waterfall drown their voices. Ohno turned to him and smiled, as if they aren’t standing at the dangerous place.

“Jun, come here,” Ohno called him by waving his fingers to him, Jun came closer, managed to pulled Ohno to the safe place and bring him home as fast as he can.

“Stay there, don’t move!” Jun screamed, tried to lose the sound of the water, Ohno keeps smiling and started to hum softly to the wind, spread his arms and closed his eyes relaxingly. Jun didn’t know how Ohno reached the spot, because he had many difficulties in crossing the water, and Ohno is still few meters in front of him.

“Jun, you’ll join me, right?” Ohno asked him when Jun crawled with all his effort to his place.

“Yes, I’ll follow you everywhere, like what I promised,” Jun can’t think of another words, he doesn’t know what to do now, there is no one he could ask for help, they are alone in the middle of the forest and above the high ravine. Jun finally reached Ohno and grip his hand tightly, managed to drag him back, but Ohno pulled him back to his embrace.

“I love you Jun,” he whispered, “Let’s go,” Ohno dragged him further to the edge of the waterfall.

“No, Satoshi, we have to be back, it’s dangerous, let’s go home.”

“It’s beautiful,” Ohno tilted to him and pouted, like always, when Jun denied his request.

“Come on, we have to go home, we are wet, we’ll catch a cold if we stay,” Jun tried to pursue the shorter like a kid, but Ohno stayed there, prevent his weight on his spot, Jun sighed and hold the other to calm him, well, that’s all he can do for now.

“Jun will follow me right?” Ohno replied with sob, his face drown to Jun’s chest. The taller spread his sight to his surround and he can’t find any good sign, if this is his time to die, he would accept it, at least he would die with his beloved one, but despite of his willingness to leave the world, he still want to do many other things, a great photographer, marry Ohno, travel around the world and build a pasta restaurant. With those thoughts, he pulled Ohno as strong as he can, without hearing Ohno’s protest.

But he was slipped of the stone under the water and his body fell to the cold rush water below him along with Ohno, before he realized the water flow brought them to the edge where the waterfall is await to bring their lives away, Jun holds Ohno’s hand, want to scream something to the other before he was drown and fall and ready to die. His hand holds the empty air instead of Ohno’s hand and what he can hear was just the water, which brought him away from the consciousness.

“Is he alive?”

“Yes, he’s breathing.”

“It’s a miracle.”

Jun heard voices, unclear enough to be heard and understood, he wanted to open his eyes, but they were too weight, none of his body could be moved, maybe he broke all of his bones, he waits and the same voice heard again.

“Nino, I think he would wake up in a few hours, I’ll get some food for him.”

“Okay, I’ll keep him,” another voice heard, Jun returned to his sleep, doesn’t want to wake up.

“You’re awake,” a man bowed so close above his head, his brown hair could be seen clearly, Jun blinked a few times and realized that he was on a bed in a small room which look like a clinic.

“I thought you were dead,” the man examines him with more curious gaze.

“Sa-to-shi,” he whimpered with a weak voice and the man showed him a puzzle face, “My name is Nino, not Satoshi,” he answered cheerfully and Jun heard somebody else entered in.

“Nino, I told you to examine properly,” the man spoke and the one named Nino gave Jun a smile before checking his condition once again.

“Satoshi,” Jun whispered again, he turned his head to the other side, hope that he would find another body lying next to his bed but he’s the only patient here.

“Is that your name?” Nino asked him again, he glanced to the other man who is standing few steps from the bed.

“Nino, let him take a rest,” the other stepped closer to Jun and touched his forehead.

Jun swallowed before let out another weak voice, “Jun, I am Jun,” he told the man and collected his energy to ask, “Where is Satoshi?” he just want to know whether Ohno was alright, but from what state he is right now, he must conclude that Ohno wasn’t even better, or the worst, the other might be already dead.

“Who is he?” the man asked softly, “You need rest, you broke your right arm and starving for few days, Nino will take food for you, my name is Aiba, nice to see you awake Jun,” the man offered a warm smile and helped Jun to the sit position so he could eat his food properly. Nino came again with the tray on his hand, he prepared the spoon and ready to feed Jun who still wandered around. Aiba walked outside, left them in the room.

“I am his helper,” Nino explained while feeding Jun who tried hard to chew the food, “He opened this place a year ago to help the village people, so they don’t need to go to the city for medicine or treatment , very nice person.”

Jun swallowed his food hardly, he glanced to his right arm which bend to a strange position, his muscles were hurt and he tried to remember what happened.

“So, we found you were floating in the water, I thought you were dead,” Nino continued to feed him but Jun shook his head, “Where is Satoshi?” he asked again.

“Who is that? Mmmm I thought your name was Satoshi,” Nino stared to his face sharply when Jun gave him another shook.

“I am Jun, didn’t you find another person in the place where you saved me?” Jun’s heart beat faster, suddenly afraid of the answer that he would hear, but Nino shook his head, “We didn’t see anyone, you were all alone,” Nino forced another bite of food to his mouth, but Jun denied it, Ohno wasn’t there, though they fell together, perhaps he was drowned and dead or he was brought away by the water flow to another places, he closed his eyes, felt his bones beat painfully.

“Jun, you’ll be okay, mmmmm you can call me if you need something, I am here all the time,” Nino seems didn’t affected by Jun’s depressed face and tide up the food again when Jun denied to continue eating, he left the room, remain the silence there. Jun knows he can’t find Ohno now with his condition, all he can do now is pray that Ohno was still alive wherever he is, he closed his eyes again, managed to call his family to inform them about his condition, but he doesn’t know whether he can do it here, maybe he would ask Nino to do that for him, but he must wait, he took deep breath and return to sleep.

Jun insisted that he needed to call his family the next day to Nino, who pulled his long-mode handphone from his pocket and dialed the number that Jun mentioned to him, but nobody answered, did they know about it? He regretted that he didn’t mention anything to his sister before he went to the waterfall with Ohno, and perhaps they taught that he was alright, what would he say to Ohno’s mother if she asked about his son? He offered a gloomy look to Nino who doubtfully smiled back to him.

“Nobody answered,” Jun handed back the phone to the other guy who took it but his gaze locked on Jun’s face.

“When will I can go home?” Jun repaired his position, he glanced his broken arm, felt so depressed more of losing Ohno than the pain on his bone, moreover he couldn’t do something about Ohno, at least for now.

“Errrr I can’t give you the right time, but after you strong enough, of course you can go back, I’ll take you to the train station,” a cute smile plastered on Nino’s lips, this guy seems feel high tension for anything, despite of Jun’s non-stop gloomy face he still can act cheerfully in front of him, but Jun appreciate it as a nice offer, “Thanks.” Jun sighed, looked outside the window, where would Ohno be? Is he save? He just remembered he screamed Ohno’s name before the water blurred his mind, he wished he never grant Ohno’s request to go to the waterfall, he gripped the sheet to hold back his tears, if Ohno died, he would follow, without any hesitation.

“Are you okay?”

Nino’s voice pulled him up back to the reality, he blinked to the boy and forced a bitter grin on his face, signing that he was okay.

Aiba checked his condition, beside his broken arm, he got no serious injury on the other part of his body, Jun tried to call his sister once again and this time he got an answer, he explained his condition shortly to her and not mentioned about his broken arm, he just want a ride from the train station next two days, and promised he would explain everything as they meet.

He thanked Aiba continuously at the day he departed, said the he would visit again after he shuffle everything including finding Ohno, the priority thing he would do, Nino accompany him to the station, handed him his hand-made onigiri and insisted Jun to visit again.

“Thanks Nino, I’ll visit of course,” Jun waved his hand to the guy when his train started to run further, Nino chased until the train disappeared at the first venue. Jun dropped back to the chair, careful of his broken arm which still using gyps and hanged to his neck. Two hours later he found his sister was standing at the exit, waiting for him.

“Jun, your arm,” she was shocked completely, but Jun shook his head, he doesn’t want to talk about here, among the crowd.

“Later,” he muttered, he followed his sister to the parking area, he knows the woman glanced warily at him non-stop, but Jun told her that he wouldn’t explain anything here.

As they arrived he began to tell her about anything, and the last part about Ohno, he paused a second, tried not to drop a single tear, “He was lost, I don’t know where the hell he disappeared, or maybe he was dead,” he said and finally he can’t hold his tears anymore.

“What should I tell his mother?” Jun found his back was stroked by his sister who tried to understand the situation well.

“We’ll find him, call the police or SAR team and you can show them where exactly the position you were falling to, and we can ask Nino and Aiba too,” his sister encourage him and make a conclusion that Ohno was still alive, Jun cleared his mind and nodded at the option.

He lets his sister called the police first and also SAR team, explained about the waterfall and she would bring Ohno’s picture to the police station either to the team SAR at the following day, he returned Jun and rubbed his hair, “It’s okay,” she said.

A month passed, there’s no sign that they would find Ohno, it frustrated Jun more than anything he already had. He drowned his head to his pillow, accidentally cried of the situation he’s facing now, he blamed himself for everything, he couldn’t say anything when Ohno’s mother cried uncontrollable after he explained that Ohno was lost, but he promised the woman that he would bring Ohno back, even he didn’t know how to do this other than leave it to the police, and he just knew that Ohno has a little bit problem on his mental since he was a kid, tried to suicide few times before this, something which made Jun called himself as the dumbest person on earth for not knowing this.

His phone rang above his table and Jun immediately took it, he saw unknown number on the board, he attached it to his phone and a familiar voice heard.

“Jun kun isn’t it? This is Nino, do you remember me?”

“Oh, Nino,” Jun’s voice heard so husky of his crying, he took some tissues and dried his face.

“I found the picture attached at the nearest police station, I think he is your Satoshi,” Nino said again, when Jun felt his heart’s beat increase rapidly.

“Nino, do you know something about it?” Jun asked impatiently, almost dropped his phone from his grip.

“Errrr Aiba went to the other village few days ago and he saw a man who resembled the picture, but I don’t know for sure, his memory in remembering people’s faces wasn’t good enough, he said the man has the same characteristics with the attached picture,” Nino ended, Jun can’t answer for few seconds, he just know he shout that he’ll go to Nino’s village as fast as he could get the train, forgetting about his arm which wasn’t recover yet.

Nino is waiting for him at the station with his cute smile on his lips, welcomed Jun warmly as if Jun came for holiday and not looking for his lost lover.

“Glad that I can see you this fast,” Nino followed his steps and locked his gaze to Jun who forced to smile to the shorter.

“Me too,” Jun tried to look relax but he failed, he needs to find Ohno now, though the sun already set, send the darkness around them, he knows Nino or Aiba would strictly forbid him to go with his broken arm.

“I will accompany you tomorrow,” as if Nino could read his mind, the shorter guy announced his help for Jun who still drown on his mind.

“Oh, yes, errr thanks, I’m sorry for troubling you this much,” Jun patted Nino’s shoulder with his  left hand, which make Nino smiled wider, the shorter nodded and they headed to Aiba’s clinic.

Aiba greeted him with the cheerful face, checked Jun’s arm seriously before gave a comment about Jun who lost weight since they met a month ago.

“I couldn’t eat before finding Satoshi,” he mumbled to the taller man who gave him an understanding nod. “I’m sure you’ll find him,” Aiba told him to take a rest, saved enough energy for tomorrow, also apologized that he can’t go together because he has to go to the city for medicine supply, something that he can’t leave to Nino.

“Thanks for everything Aiba san,” Jun said sincerely, he can’t imagine if he wasn’t found by this kind doctor, he must be in heaven right now, and this time he got helped to find Ohno as well, even though Jun doesn’t know whether the man Aiba saw was really Ohno.

He closed the door behind him, the same room where he was threaten a month before, there’s nothing change here, except the color of the curtain, someone had replaced it to the bright yellow with leaves pattern on it, must be Nino who bought it, Jun taught. He put his bag on the floor and throw his back to the bed, waiting for tomorrow to come. He couldn’t sleep well beyond his bad dream about Ohno who was found dead at the river and blamed him for being alive and not following him to the death. Jun woke up when it was still dark outside, the cold sweat run on his cheeks, he waited for the sun to rise and went outside, wait for Nino to wake up and lead his way to the village which located an hour from this place.

“Ohayou Jun kun,” Nino stretched his arms when he saw Jun who was ready to go, “We must eat breakfast before we go,” Nino took two bottles of milk and handed to Jun who forget about how hungry he is. Nino left him to the kitchen again and came back with breads on his hand, “We need much energy,” the shorter gladly watched Jun who chew his bread with no enthusiasm.

“You look sleepy,” Nino commented when Jun yawned after his first gulp.

“I didn’t sleep so well,” Jun looked at his bread, he just want to find Ohno and his head can’t think of another thing, his memory is just enough to rewind the last month scene, the waterfall, Ohno’s face, Ohno’s smile, the last smile he saw before they were separated.

“Nino, I’ll go now,” Aiba appeared from his room, ready to go, he looked at Jun who nodded as a response, “Good luck,” the doctor pat his shoulder softly and smile, encouraging Jun who murmured a soft thank you to the taller man.

“Be careful Aiba san,” Nino waved his hand to the doctor who replied and started to walk away from them. Then Nino paid attention to Jun who wrapped his bread with the tissues, because he couldn’t eat it all, though he just finished quarter of it.

“Shall we go now,” Jun asked while followed Nino’s gaze to his unfinished bread, “I’ll eat it later,” he inserted it with one hand to his bag and stood up, ready to go.

Jun felt so nerves along the way, he didn’t exchange any word with Nino who seems want to talk to him, but he stared outside the bus’ window, imagining Ohno’s face and what will he do when they meet. His eyes caught a posture on the street and he can’t mistaken it, he knew the man for a long time, but the bus stop is still far according to Nino, he pressed his face to the glass window in order to see the man better, he needs to jump off the bus now, and when it stopped Jun found himself running backwards, with Nino behind him.

Jun run faster, his breath was so hard but he didn’t stop, he found his beloved Ohno, he’s alive and health.

“Satoshi,” he grabbed the man and pulled him to a tight hug.

“You’re alive, I miss you like crazy, I thought we will never meet ever again,” Jun sobs on to the man shoulder who didn’t reply him at all, perhaps Ohno was still shocked to see him all of sudden, but after few minutes, Jun realized something, Ohno seems didn’t recognized him.

“I am sorry, I am Kei, are you okay?” the man spoke and Jun keep staring at him.

“No, you’re Satoshi, who is Kei, you are Satoshi and I am here to take you home,” Jun tried to grab Ohno or Kei (like the man mentioned)  again when he avoid Jun’s hand, looked frightened.

“Jun, I think he’s not the man you’re looking for,” Nino stepped to him, his face showed him an understanding color.

“No, he is Satoshi,” Jun shook his head, he darted to Ohno again who still give the same look to him. But when he tried to argue again, another man showed up from the building across the street, he stepped fast to them and placed himself in front of Ohno or Kei.

“Sho kun,”

The taller man postured that he wanted to protect his friend by standing in front of him, he glared to Jun and Nino, his eyes questioning them in fierce way.

“What do you want?” the taller asked Jun, “Did you try to kidnap him?”

Jun can’t answer at all, who is this man, what kind of relationship he has with Ohno.

“No, we are looking for a man who was lost a month ago, my friend said that your friend resemble the lost man we are looking for,” Nino answered for him, Jun thanked the shorter for that, since he lost his ability to speak after the bitter thing which just happened, he found Ohno, but he can’t touch him or make him remember him.

“I think you saw the wrong person,” a man who was called Sho flipped back and grabbed Ohno to go with him, this time Ohno linked his hand to the taller, he gave Jun the last frightened gaze before stepped further from them.

“No, wait!” Jun run through them, he withdrew the picture from his pocket and showed them, “Look at this face, this is you Satoshi,”

“He is not Satoshi,” Sho pulled Ohno again, but Jun can hear him mumbled, “He looks like me Sho kun.”

But Sho didn’t stay any longer with them, he stepped away along with Ohno, Jun watched them disappear, didn’t know what to do, he heard Nino leaned closer to him.

“He seems totally a different man,” Nino muttered, Jun squished the picture on his hand, he believes that Kei is Ohno, there’s a high possibility that he was amnesia after falling down from that damn waterfall. Jun buried his face to his right palm, thinking so hard, he doesn’t want to let Ohno go just like that and lost him for twice, he looked to the direction where Ohno and Sho disappeared.

“Let’s go back.”

Jun heard Nino’s voice behind him, but he doesn’t want to surrender that fast, he wanted to know how Ohno got into this place and how Sho involved, since when he was called ‘Kei’ or that Sho gave him the name? Jun stood up and walked a few steps forward, “I’ll get him again,” he muttered, knowing Nino can hear his voice.

They went back to Aiba’s clinic, found the doctor is already there, he is busy with the medicines he just bought from the city when Jun and Nino arrived. A familiar smiling face welcomed their return, Jun murmured ‘tadaima’ with weak voice meanwhile Nino helped Aiba right away after he put his bag, even though the doctor denied him to do so.

“You’re tired Nino, let me do it by myself.”

“But I want to help,” Nino argued, ignoring Aiba’s words, the later then viewing Jun who keep his mouth shut all the way here, drowned in his own mind.

“How was…”

“I think I need to sleep now,” Jun didn’t have any intend to talk about what just happened, so he headed the room which was prepared for him, he even didn’t glance to Aiba or Nino, knew that Nino would explain everything to Aiba later on when he already inside. He closed the door, cursed when his foot bumped something behind the door, which he didn’t notice. He sighed, flopped his back to the bed and watch the ceiling. What should he do after this? He didn’t know, he wanted to get Ohno back so badly but he can’t find a way to do that. He heard Aiba and Nino mumbled to each other, he didn’t need to guess what are they talking about, it’s him and what he faced at the neighbor village this afternoon.

Jun can’t shut his eyes even just for a second that night, Ohno’s face keep haunting him even worse than before, if only he found out that Ohno were dead, perhaps he would feel better than he is now, knowing Ohno is alive but didn’t remember anything about him. He rolled up on the bed, glanced to his broken arm, Ohno is fine, he looked healthy, what will he do after this? Is there anything to make him get his memory back, even the smallest thing he can do, the most important is he doesn’t want to be far from Ohno, let Ohno fall to Sho’s arm, no! He screamed in his mind, he will do anything, anything to make Ohno back to him. And an idea crossed his mind.

“What? Work in that village?” Nino’s eyes widen in surprise when Jun said what’s on his mind the next morning.

Jun nodded without hesitation, he took his own part for breakfast before Aiba helped him, still in unbelievable face, Nino keeps glaring at him.

“Jun kun, you love him that bad.”

“Of course,” Jun answered right away, for some reason, he saw a bitter smile crossed Nino’s face, but it was just a bit, because Nino then nodded understandingly.

“I think you must wait until your arm getting better and totally recovered,” Aiba entered the conversation, he talked with serious face, hearing that, Jun just sighed, it would probably take long time until his arm recovered totally, but he wants to be in Ohno’s side as fast as possible.

“I’ll find a job which doesn’t need my both hands,” Jun said, he saw Aiba shook his head to him, but he didn’t want to be stopped, they continued the breakfast in silent, Jun stood up first, he headed outside and try to call his sister, explained about the condition and the step he would take. Same as Aiba and Nino, his sister insist him to delay his plan until he recovers.

“Jun, you’d better go home, let’s talk about it, as you said, Ohno kun didn’t recognize you, how can it helps if you force yourself to him?” his sister’s voice begged him to return home before he stepped any further for Ohno, his only love in his life who was gone.

“If I wait until my hand recover, I’m afraid he would forget me more and more, there will be no chance to get him back,” Jun tilted up to the sky, the rain is about to fall, he ended the conversation soon, inserted his phone to his pocket, just realize that Nino was behind him.

“I envy that Ohno.” Nino came closer to him while inserting his hands to his pocket, joined Jun looked up to the cloudy morning. Jun looked at him and tried to form a smile on his lips, but all he can do was grinning.

“Thank you Nino, for your support,”  Jun patted the shorter on his shoulder with his left hand and got a weak smile as a reply.

“I still didn’t agree with your idea to work there,” Nino muttered to him, his face showed the doubt expression when he spoke, perhaps he really want Jun to cancel his silly plan, which Jun would never do.

“For now, this all I can do,” Jun stepped to the veranda when the water started to fall, wetting the leaves of the flowers in front of Aiba’s clinic, it spread the cold air to them and to Jun’s heart, wish he were already at the neighbor village, together with Ohno.

“I am Matsumoto Jun, please take care of me.” Jun bowed at the tomato farm where he was accepted to work, he already searched the information, helped by Nino who looked half-hearted but still help him to find that Ohno is working here too. The owner seems so kind hearted and love his job very much, Jun begin his work, his first task is to classify the tomatoes based on its size, he found a man called Sho there, doing the same thing. The man recognized him, he glared at Jun sharply, focused on his right hand, Jun tried to move his hand normally, he forced Aiba to remove the gips away, since he doesn’t want to look weak and ridiculous during work. The doctor warned him fierce fully that it was still dangerous, but Jun ignored it, he said that if Aiba denied to remove it, then he’ll remove it by himself.

As the result, he must move it by force, he’s afraid his hand would swelling by the end of the day, he wear the gloves which was just given awkwardly and as expected, he can’t wear it on smoothly, but a pair of hands suddenly helped him to wear it, when he tilted up to see the owner, it was Ohno.

“It looks easy, but very tiring as well, I hope you wouldn’t be fatigue by the end of the day,” Ohno or Kei or whatever talked to him, Jun’s eyes widen in surprise and a strange sadness attack him, he wants to hold back those hands, but Ohno already pulled it away even before he tried to lay his hand to his. From the corner of his eyes, he can see that Sho paid attention to them.

Jun started to pick the tomatoes, separated them to the baskets based on their size, if it’s not for Ohno, Jun would never do this kind of farming job, but Ohno is his priority right now, he glanced to Ohno, he is talking seriously with Sho, they look close for some reason, are they dating? Jun tried to listen to their conversation, but they speak in tiny voice, almost whisper that he can’t hear at all. Once or twice he can see Sho throw a suspicious glare toward him. Jun ignored him, he winced when his bone protest him, Aiba and Nino is right, he is stupid to force himself to this situation.

The first week passed, Jun has no progress in talking with Ohno because Sho always around, he sat at the shadow of a tree that afternoon, get ready to enjoy his lunch, Nino came by yesterday to his place and brought him many kind of instant food, the doctor helper saw him with the non-stop worrying glance, told him to go home (to Aiba’s clinic) if he gets day off, Jun only nodded, in the corner of his head, he wants to use those time to talk with Ohno if he can.

He brought the spoon to his mouth, today is sunny and the harvest time is over, he and the other workers including Ohno would get the other task soon. This first week seems so slow and boring and his body felt hurt everywhere, all he did was waiting, he has no braveness to talk to Ohno again, it only bring the sadness to him, as long as he can see Ohno around him, work with high spirit, just like two months ago, when they were together for photographs, when he helped Jun prepared everything with the red cheeks because of sun heat. Jun drown to the memories, didn’t realize there’s someone approached him and sat next to him.

“Can I sit here?”

Jun awaken from his day dreaming, he blinked and saw Ohno took a seat beside him, brought his own lunch, Jun thought that he must be too tired, that he imagined Ohno sat next to him, but when he blinked again, Ohno is still there, it’s real.

“How’s your hand?” he asked, his eyes focused to Jun’s right hand.

“Not too bad,” Jun answered as normal as he can, he looks around, make sure Sho is not there, or he would take Ohno away from him like he always do.

“I remember you called me Satoshi the other day we met, why?” Ohno asked him all of sudden, Jun thought that he already forgot about it, Jun thinks few seconds to find a good answer, to make Ohno or Kei understands or maybe bring his memory back to the surface, even just a little.

“Satoshi is my most important person, I was too stupid for not knowing that he has a mental disease until one day he took me to a water fall for my photograph, while I was busy taking the pictures, he ran to the edge of the ravine and wanted to jump,” Jun paused, took a deep breath and watched Ohno’s expression while he speaks, the other paid full attention on him, Jun continued, “I couldn’t let him die, so I chased him, but instead of bringing him back to a safe spot, we fell to the deep ravine, I thought I were die, but I am still alive, unfortunately he was lost,” Jun looked at Ohno when he said those words, the other gave him a weird face, “I found him, but his memories about me were lost as well,” Jun tried to touch Ohno with his left hand, but the other jerked away when someone called him, the owner wanted him to come closer, so Ohno stepped away from Jun before gave him any answer or respond.

Jun sighed, perhaps he shouldn’t tell Ohno about it, he doesn’t know how many memories still left inside Ohno’s head, or maybe he even didn’t remember anything, even his own name, Jun smiled bitterly imagining himself calling Ohno with another name and the other speak to him like he was a stranger.

Nino comes continuously to Jun’s place, asked him about the progress he got, but he doesn’t have any good progress in his mission to bring Ohno’s memories back, it has been a month since he moved here, his sister keep calling him, told him to go back home instead of wasting his time there in a tomato farm, but he wanted to get Ohno back, no matter what happens, not to mention that he doesn’t find any way out yet.

He only got one point, Ohno talks to him more often since he told him about the water fall incident, and he also conclude that he was the person who lost the memories, but he apologized politely to Jun that he couldn’t remember anything. Even though Sho would pull Ohno away when they talk like that among the lunch break, but Jun already talked many things with Ohno, he forced himself hardly to call Ohno as ‘Kei’. The weird thing is, Ohno never call him by his name, he avoided the word ‘Jun’ as hard as he can.

“Can I go to that waterfall with you?”

Jun just finished his task to water the new plants when he heard Ohno mumbled beside him, he paused his movement and stared at Ohno, assured himself that the one who spoke was really Ohno.

“Perhaps I will remember something,” Ohno continued, Jun can see Sho at the far side stare at them, wondering what are they talking about. Jun thinks for a while, actually he still trauma of the ravine where he fell from, what if Ohno suddenly decided to jump again and die this time, he shook his head, “No, you can’t go there again!!.” Jun heard himself shout those words, he knows his voice attract the attention from the other workers.  

He saw the disappointment in Ohno’s face, before the shorter walked away, leaving him there with so many thought.

For the whole week, he didn’t meet Ohno or Sho at the farm, according to the owner, they moved to the other part, which make Jun sighed in sadness, his hand is already fully recovered, he managed to see Aiba this Sunday to check it again. He walked for few meters, the sun burn his skin quickly, he just realized that he becomes so much tan lately. He looked down to the ground, thinking about Ohno, when a voice break the silent.

“Kei is missing, is there anyone see him around here?”

The one who screamed was Sho, the sweat covered his face, look so desperate and panic. Jun dropped his spade and approached the man. “Missing? What do you mean?”

“I can’t find him anywhere, since this morning,” Sho answered, his hand moved to his hair, squished it few times, a sudden hint hit Jun’s head, he run away, Ohno must be there, to remember. Sho screamed at him, asking him where he goes, but he doesn’t have time to answer, he run with all his might.

Ohno must already arrived there few hours before, Jun was so panic, what if Ohno wasn’t there, a thousand horrible things ruled his head, but he tried to keep it clear, he must get the place as fast as he can. The brushes blocked his way, he tilted up, he must climb this brushes wall to get the waterfall, which he doesn’t know the exact position, in short time, his skin already full of scratches, he panted hardly, wanted to reach the waterfall quickly. He heard the water sound from the far left side, he runs there, spread his sight to find Ohno.

“Satoshi!!”

Jun called the name desperately, looks around so panic when he see nobody, “Satoshi!!” he called again.

There, he see a body, sit beyond the big stone in the middle of the river, with the half body soaked to the water.

“Satoshi, let’s go home,” Jun approached the man slowly, afraid that he would run away.

“I think I know this place,” Ohno mumble more to himself than Jun, “Do you know what I did here before, you mentioned the waterfall when you told me the story about you and your lover.”

Jun walked closer, enough to pull Ohno away if he decided to run again, “You told me that you love me and wanted me to jump down with you,” Jun answered, the water sound drown his voice, but Ohno heard him clear enough that he stared at Jun to find whether Jun is lying or not.

“Satoshi.”

“Is that my name?”

“Yes, you are the only Satoshi that I love and care about, the one that I follow everywhere, but this time, I don’t let you to leave me again, with your body or memories, I’ll pull you this time, let’s go home Satoshi.”

Ohno’s lips opened, but there’s no voice came out, he just stare blankly to Jun, digging something in Jun’s eyes.

“I can’t remember the detail,” Ohno finally speak, “But I think I can get it back,” Ohno smiled to Jun, the later smiled back, he gave his hand to Ohno, to pull him out of the water.

“Take my hand, let’s go home with me, I’ll help you to find all the memories back, you must believe me.”

Ohno looked to Jun’s hand before take it doubtfully, but he denied to get out from the water.

“If you love me, let’s go with me to the eternally, we failed that time, but now we can make it, you and me will be together forever,” Ohno’s lips curved in a smirk, a weird smirk that make Jun scared.

“No, we have to go back,” but Ohno pulled him closer to the ravine, ignoring his protest, Jun’s eyes wandered around to find something that can be pulled, but there’s nothing, perhaps he would die this time, but at least he can die together with Ohno. They almost reach the edge when Jun found his hand was pulled by the other hand, he turned around and surprisingly see Nino, Aiba and Sho there.

He wanted to ask why are they here, but now is not the right time, so he let the other pulled him out of the water. Ohno seems already out of energy when he suddenly passed out in his arm, he held the other gently and lay him down at the clean side, let Aiba checked him.

“We’re glad that we arrive on time,” Nino patted his shoulder, he squatted to see Ohno’s face, “I think there’s no chance for me anymore when he’s awake and remember you again,” Nino muttered disappointedly to Jun.

“You’re a good guy Nino, there are many choices out there,” Jun smiled to him, he can’t thank Nino enough for all he had done for him. then he turned his sight to Sho, the man didn’t say a word, he just looked at Ohno’s body, seems so busy with his own thought, Jun stood up and speak to him.

“If he’s awake, I’ll let him choose, whether he wanted to go back with me or stay here with you, however, I owe you much,” that is the first time for Jun to speak like that with Sho who denied to look at him in the eye.

“He’s yours since the beginning, I have no right to take him away,” Sho mumbled, he turned his head away, to look at the beautiful view in front of them.

“You will take many beautiful pictures here,” Nino checked his camera from all angles, that day is so shiny and the breeze cold the air down.

“Here and Sho’s village,” Jun checked everything in his bag, make sure there’s nothing left.

“Jun, I made this toast bread with Aiba, I think it’s enough for all of us,” Ohno approached him with the big lunch box in his hand, he joined him and Nino to sit on the floor, waiting for Aiba to be ready.

“I miss to pick the tomatoes, can we do that too,” Ohno asked while inserted the box to his bag.

“Sure, you can do anything except go away from me,” Jun attempted Ohno who smiled shyly to him, they finally ready to go to Sho’s village. Jun remembered how stiff they around each other sometimes ago, but lately, Sho was really nice to him, especially after the little something happened between him and Nino. He looked at Ohno beside him, his mental sickness has reduced little by little which make Jun so relieve, he promised himself to keep Ohno safe this time.

A/N : I wrote this a long time ago (not really, I mean like few months ago) and this one is un-betaed as well so you must find many weird grammars, (sorry, my bad).

There are too many things happened to me this week and one of them is being so down tonight because of not passing the important test and I thought my life is over (but I’m still be able to post this so I’m okay). I hope this story didn’t make you vomit, haha sorry if you do.
