Pirates of the Heart

Jun didn’t sleep that night, he thinks about the way how to enter Ohno General’s house and meet Satoshi there. He holds a small bottle in his hand and when the morning comes, he headed Aiba’s room, knocked the door.

“Ohayou”, Aiba ruffled his hair and welcomed Jun with the sleepy eyes, he opened the door wider, Jun entered and saw Nino who was bounded to the table’s leg with tight rope and his mouth was covered by a bundle of cloth. His tiny eyes narrowed in anger when he saw Jun approached.

“Good job”, Jun pat Aiba’s shoulder, he knelt down, moved his head closer to Nino.

“I need you to guide me to enter Ohno General’s house”, Jun speaks to the face he hates the most, “I’ll make sure you’ll do what I say”, he continued, he gave a code to Aiba to listen to him as well. Jun showed a small bottle in his hand to Aiba and Nino, “This is the deathly poison, I give you 5 hours to bring me to Satoshi’s room and lead me back without anyone will noticing me, and I will hand you the neutralizer, if you didn’t make it on time, you’ll die”, Jun stood up, he loosen the cloth from Nino’s mouth and his hand forced Nino to open his mouth.

“Jun, do you want to force him like that?”, Aiba asked, he looked at Nino’s face, he wanted to see Nino in panic expression, but not when someone force him to drink the poison.

“Just like what you see, come on help me”, Nino tried to against them but his bounded hands don’t permit him to make any movement, Jun tugged his hair, and Aiba helped his friend half-hearted.

“Jun are you sure?”.

“Masaki!”, Jun shouted and Aiba has no choice, his eyes formed apologize to Nino who still try to fight them, Jun opened the bottle and pour the poison to Nino’s mouth and forced the smaller guy to swallow it. Nino coughed and he cursed, his eyes full of tears, he turned a gaze to Aiba, the later just shook his head hopelessly.

“You’re a bastard!!”, Nino hissed to Jun who withdraw his sword and pointed it to Nino’s neck, “You have 5 hours to live if you deny my order”, Jun smirked, enjoyed his victory upon Nino, he cut the string and let Nino free.

“I and Aiba will disguise, and you must lead us to Satoshi’s room, got it?”, Jun murmured and Nino’s face is ready to kill when he looked to the pirate’s eyes, this handsome man is cruel after all. Nino stood up slowly and he winced.

“You must be dizzy right now, that’s the first effect, and it will become worse later, so hurry up”, Jun watched Nino’s movement who still looking for his balance.

“I’ll help you to walk”, Aiba can’t stand to see Nino suffering like that, he took Nino’s hand and they stepped out of the room.

“Cover your face!”, Jun ordered Aiba when they started to walk under the bright sun shine. They saw their own faces everywhere and think about the worst possibility that one of the citizens will recognized them and handed them to the police or maybe to Nino’s friend, Sakurai Sho, but none of it happens, so they walked faster towards Ohno’s house. Jun’s heart beat so wild inside his ribs, he can’t think about another thing but Ohno at the moment.

They reached the huge gate and the soldiers blocked their way, Nino steps to them and tell them good lie that Jun and Aiba are the silk trader who will take order from the General for his son’s wedding and the soldiers let them get through with no hesitation. The three of them walked in and Nino looked around, he’s not sure where Ohno’s room is, because the house is so big and he never been to Ohno’s room before. Jun and Aiba watched his panic face and Nino just realize he just has another 3 hours. His sight become blur and he decided to ask one of the servant who carrying the food and walk fast in front of them.

“Err, excuse me, do you know where is young Ohno’s room?”.

“Ah Nino san, I am sorry, I don’t know where is his new room, only few special servants know where it is, Sakurai san ordered them to guard young Ohno-sama”, the servant bowed and continued his steps to deliver the food.

“Shit!”, Nino cursed, he turned his gaze to Jun who covered his face with the thick black cloth, “We have to meet Sho”, Nino mumbled.

“We?”, Jun grabbed Nino’s collar, “Don’t try to trick me or the poison neutralizer will never touch your tongue”.

“I don’t trick you, but he’s the one that I can ask for it”, Nino felt his sight become so much blur than before, he blinked and shook his head, the poison had spread and he must find Sho as fast as he can, meanwhile he doesn’t know where the man is, the last time they met was yesterday and Nino didn’t make a deal or something, he went for drink immediately. He wished Sho will appear in front of him.

“I’ll search for him, and I will return as fast as I can”, Nino told Jun and Aiba, “Wait for me in the inn, I’m afraid people will recognize you here”, Nino spoke in low voice, he looks around, worry there’s someone would hear what he said.

“How can I trust you?”, Jun doesn’t want to trust Nino just like that, but Aiba pat his shoulder, “Jun, if he lie to us, he’ll die, I know he will comeback for us”, Aiba turns a gaze to the shorter man in front of him, “Go as fast as you can before the poison eats your body”, and he dragged Jun outside and Nino disappeared, try to find Sho, he can feel his lungs don’t inhale the air properly and his heart beat increase rapidly, but he keeps on walking.

Sho bowed to Ohno’s father deeply, they just finished talk about the wedding and Ohno’s father let him to plan everything, he smiled happily and his steps become so much lighter knowing that no one can block his way in making Ohno as his own. He even requested certain room for Ohno that only him who knows it and few servants that he trusts the most. He walked towards the room and saw opened the door. Ohno’s sight is not blank as before and he answered Sho’s question properly, but Sho still can’t touch the kid, every time he wants to hold Ohno to him, the kid would avoid him with so many reasons. Sho doesn’t want to give up. He walked in and saw Ohno is sitting beside the window, staring outside with his chin rested in both of his hands, he doesn’t show that he realize Sho’s appearance.

“Satoshi”, Sho walked closer to Ohno and join the shorter to stare outside.

“We’ll marry in five days, I already chose the beautiful wedding cloaks for us”, Sho waits for a reply but Ohno kept his sight to the plants outside, he continued, “But if you don’t like them, you can request the other”.

“Up to you”, Ohno answered, didn’t move his sight, he just imagine that Jun is not die and take him far away from here, he took deep breath and realized the reality, Jun will never come for him and he will marry Sho, he must ready for this.

Sho took Ohno’s hand and squish it, “I love you Satoshi”, Sho looked to the cute face he loves the most and leaned closer, “I want to walk outside”, before Sho can do more, Ohno already walked out of the door and move farther, he shook his head and go to the park where the cherry blossoms are blooming beautifully, he walked there, but someone catch his attention.

“Nino?”, Ohno saw the guardian steps like a drunk, he approached the man who looked tired and pale, “Nino, where have you been, Sho kun is looking for you”.

Nino breathes hardly and need some times for him to be able to speak, “Ohno-san, Jun…”, Nino knelt down, his feet is no longer strong to support his body anymore, he still have an hour left.

“Nino, what did you say? Jun?”, Ohno shook Nino’s shoulder, “Tell me! Is he dead?”, Ohno’s voice goes louder, he wants to hear from Nino’s lips, the one who killed Jun according to Sho.

Nino collected his last energy and speak as clear as his dizzy head can handle, “Jun-is-alive, he-is-here-looking for-you”.

“What?! No way?!”, Ohno stepped back, he can’t believe it, Nino told a lie to him, to attempt him, “You lie! You killed him, don’t you?”.

“No, I didn’t, he’s alive”, Nino wanted to dragged Ohno’s hand outside, but it’s impossible, one of the servant came there, Sho is not stupid to let Ohno walked freely, he doesn’t want Ohno to escape for the second time. Nino has no choice but return to Jun’s place and tell him where he can find Ohno if he still want to ruin the wedding.

“I have to go”, Nino murmured, the poison takes over his body, he doesn’t turn his head when Ohno screamed to him, ask for explanation, he saw Sho walked towards him, and Nino didn’t stop when his friend asked him where he went the night before.

“Nino!”, Sho called again, but Nino stepped with all his might towards the front gate and he still has 3O minutes to reach the inn where Jun and Aiba wait for him, “I will not die”, Nino whispered to himself, try hard not to collapse before he reached the inn. His sight is so blur, he can see the inn is 1O meters away from him, he shook his head, reached the front door and dragged his weak feet to Jun’s room. Jun opened the door and Nino lost his balance, he fell right in front of Jun.

“Nino!”, Aiba shouted, he knelt down beside Nino and shook the man’s shoulder, he looked up to Jun, “Jun give him the neutralizer, he’s dying”.

Jun also knelt down, he lifted up Nino’s chin, “Where is Satoshi, did you find him?”.

“Y-yes”, Nino answered in weak voice, all the energy is leaving him now, he can’t see anything anymore and suddenly felt so sleepy, knowing the death is coming closer and he’s stupid to trust Jun, the pirate will let him die like a coward under his feet. Nino closed his eyes, he heard Aiba’s voice who is begging to Jun to save him, but maybe it’s just his imagination.

“Jun please, save him! He lets you live before, remember? I beg for you!!”, Aiba turned Nino’s body, the face has turned white like, colorless and only small breath left, “JUN!”.

Jun sighed, he stared to Nino’s lifeless face, he took the other small bottle from his pocket, approached Aiba, “Here, save him”, and he stepped outside, leaving Aiba who try to save Nino from the close death.
