THE FIRST TIME THEY MET

They sit and talked about the first time they met each other, and the first time they appeared in Myojo, the nostalgic talking start!

Q : Do you remember the first time you met the members?

Nino     : I met Ohno san for the first time in the exercise room, he was digging his nose and I thought he was a staff since he was the only one who didn’t dance.

Ohno   : I had seen Nino somewhere, that’s why when I saw him that time, I thought “This person” in my head.

Nino     : I don’t think we have met before that.

Sho      : You said that some time ago too.

Aiba     : Maybe there’s someone who look alike him.

Ohno   : Who knows.

Sho      : Is there anyone like him?

Jun       : I met Aiba kun for the first time when I entered TBS green room.

Aiba     : Aaaa that was the very first time I went to filming location, that was Junior TV show, I worked with Matsujun there for the first time.

Jun       : I wonder that you came late to the room where all of us gathered, and I remembered well the impression when you entered the room.

Aiba     : I was late at the first day of work. I didn’t talk with Matsujun that time, and when I went home with Nino, you took the same train and I thought, “he is in the same direction” we know Yama P at the same train too.

Sho      : I don’t remember it well, but I saw Nino at NHK rehearsal room with bald-headed, he practiced ball catching.  

Nino     : That’s right, I was chosen to be a catcher for the baseball tournament among juniors.

Sho      : Maybe we already met before that, but I didn’t know that you are the junior. I was wondering why is he bald-headed, why did he practice ball catch.

Aiba     : Because it’s hard to find the bald-headed among the Jhonnys’ (laugh)

Nino     : Sho chan came to filming location with uniform.

Ohno   : I met Aiba chan for the first time when we went to Hawaii.

Sho      : I was there and I thought, “A strange guy entered the car”

Aiba     : It was a week after I had the work in TBS, they told me that I have a work in Hawaii.

Ohno   : There were about 10 people.

Sho      : I and Satoshi kun didn’t know that you are junior, so when you suddenly entered the car, I thought you were mistaken and I wonder whether you’re alright.

Aiba     : We didn’t talk at all.

Q : What is your impression when Arashi was formed?

Nino     : I went to Sho chan’s house, that was before the debut, I told him, “What must we do?” “What can I do to make them let us quit?”

Sho      : We did filming in LA around August, it was right after that.

Nino     : When he heard it we said, “What the hell is that?”

Sho      : We didn’t know what should we do, and suddenly we will be debuted, Nino came to my house and we searched the good way to escape, it was August or September 1999.

Jun       : I remembered when we did filming for V no Arashi, and five of us always together. We also took the same car home and scrambled for the seat.

Sho      : We often run to the parking area.

Nino     : There were two rows of seats. Two independent seats in front and three at the back, but we hate the middle seat.

Ohno   : We couldn’t sleep there.

Jun       : When we slept there, we had to spread our legs.

Sho      : So nostalgic.

Ohno   : We were so busy, I never experienced that busy days before, and I was suffering, i always think “This will continue forever?” “I can’t do this anymore”

Sho      : If we talk about that now, it was really play back talking (laugh)

Q : What is your exciting memories?

Aiba     : When we were in Hawaii for the debut, Nino, Sho chan and Matsujun went for shopping, there were only me and Riida left, we felt hungry and wanted to eat ramen, I remember it well.

Ohno   : I remember that too, the foreign ramen.

Sho      : You did remember it well.

Aiba     : We ate it as if we already used to it.

Q: What will you think about when you hear the word “Myojo”?

Aiba     : Shooting.

Nino     : Shooting bus, Myojo has strong impression of it.

Sho      : Maybe because we like it, (cameraman) Shiro chan and Aiba did sumo and lost the wallet, and we also went to Miyakojima, didn’t we?

Myojo : That was on July 2004, Aiba, Matsujun and Sho san went to Okinawa.

Sho      : Hahahaha, I’d better quit now, I don’t remember anything.

Myojo  : The shooting in Miyakojima was in 2000.

Sho      : Eee???

Myojo  : Matsumoto san and Sakurai san also had the filming in Chiba around winter in the sea (January, 2002)

Jun       : That’s when I ate the delicious hamaguri, the wind blew so strong, but I just remember about hamaguri. 

Sho      : That was not Myojo.

Jun       : It’s Myojo (laugh)

Nino     : If we think about it we had done a lot, without even care about the rain, we did photo shots outside. We did go to the Nokogiri mount in Chiba (December 2002)

Aiba     : We did.

Nino     : We went by boat, in the middle of rain and did fishing.

Sho      : Haaa??

Jun       : I don’t remember it at all.

Ohno   : Five of us??

Aiba     : five of us.

Sho      : You talked about it some time ago, but why only you two remember it?

Aiba     : We were at the fishing boat, all of us, because there were typhoon we got back to the cabin, we also climbed the mount and found very white snow.

Jun       : I don’t remember it at all,,,,

Myojo  : We are very sorry (laugh)

Ohno   : But that was very beautiful picture.

Nino     : You wore yukata.

Jun       : I have conversation with Shinosuke (a classmate from his Senior High) (June 2004) and appeared as the cover with Yui Aragaki (July 2009). Recently, when I cleaned my room I found the picture with Yui chan and all the drama staffs, I made myself tanned for the role, very nostalgic.

Sho      : I tried to compare the best five magazines cover and it was surprised that Myojo is the best, recently we also did shooting for other magazine, and the staff explained many times, but it wasn’t going very well.

Nino     : We often told “Please smile like Myojo” when we had other magazine photo shots.

Aiba     : Myojo = smile.

Jun       : We often appear as cover, but the cover shot without smiling is rare.
