“Ouch!” he felt his elbow hurt, it hits the hard surface of the floor, he flipped his head to see what made him fell and his eyes widen in surprise, Nino’s unmoving body looks so clear in the darkness, his skin lose its color and the body is already stiff, he was dead.
“Nino!” Ohno crawled to the body, he shook Nino’s shoulder even though he knew it can’t make the man back to life, his heart jumped to his throat, he looked around the room, Nino is developing something to raise someone from the dead, maybe the formula is still remain here and he can inject it to Nino, to make him alive again and to make him help Jun. he stood up, take the chemist bottle one by one, Nino didn’t write anything as a label, that guy must keep the information only for himself, Ohno bit his lip, took the random bottle and put them on the floor.
Should he try it on Nino? But if he inject the formula to him, he would become the same thing like Jun, lost his memories and it means he wouldn’t remember about the function of his formula, Ohno shook his head in doubt, there is no way for him to save Jun without Nino’s help. He searched again, but this time, he searched for the note, Nino must write about his formula somewhere.
He didn’t find anything, Nino is a person who can remember everything so well without the need to note it on his books, Ohno slumped to the floor, this is the worst punishment for the whole of his life, he rubbed his hair, frustrated that he couldn’t save Jun and felt sad that Nino was dead, this is his fault, he’s the one who caused Nino’s death, he also treated Sho so bad, and he fell in love to the person he just met two days ago and he’s a living corpse.
“What am I doing?” Ohno whispered to himself, if only he didn’t break up with Nino, the guy would never develop a weird thing like this, he would never meet Jun, dead or alive.
He heard feet steps approached the basement and he decided to hide at the right time when a few men who wear the uniform entered the room, he guess that these men are the forensic team or something, they checked Nino’s body, make sure that he was dead, one of them prepared the body bag and they moved Nino onto it, Ohno watched them disappeared from the room and the silent fell more than before to this dark basement.
He gets out from his hiding place and glanced for the last time to where Nino lied and stepped out, he gulped, imagine the same thing would happen to Jun. he felt there are a thousand needles stabbed into his heart, seeing someone dead was so hurt, he wanted to scream an apologize to Nino, to Sho, to Aiba, but they aren’t here, he doesn’t know what will he do next. He can’t do anything to save Jun right now, Jun will die again, he stopped his feet and leaned to the wall, if only he can turn back the time…
“Satoshi kun,”
He flipped his body in surprised to see who was the caller and saw Sho is approaching him, he guess that the other is having his lunch break at this time. He didn’t know how to face Sho right now, so he continued his steps.
“No, wait!”
Sho chased him and blocked his way, “Satoshi kun, I am so worried about you, are you okay?”
“I’m okay Sho kun,” he shortly answered.
“Nino quitted this morning.”
When Sho mentioned the name, Ohno’s stomach flared up, Sho didn’t know that Nino was dead, killed himself at his own basement.
Ohno muted, he wants to be in his room as soon as possible, perhaps Jun already woke up and wondered about where he was, but Sho didn’t give up, he keeps following him.
“Satoshi kun, do you hate me?”
“No, I just feel confuse right now, can you leave me alone?” Ohno yelled, he doesn’t know how to explain his feeling, Sho would never understand, he just wants to see Jun and make sure he’s not dead yet. He felt pity for Sho in the other side of his mind, but he can’t do anything right now to comfort the other, meanwhile he needs something to light his blur mind after seeing Nino’s dead body inside the basement.
“I am worry about you, that’s all,” Sho finally decided to stop following him, Ohno glanced behind before continued his steps in faster pace, maybe if there’s next time, he would explain everything to Sho, but what should he explain? Maybe Sho will hate him with all of his heart, but he doesn’t really care at the moment. He walked towards his apartment, Jun is there, asleep with his powerless body and he can’t do anything to save him.

Aiba’s feet stopped at the park where he spent a night with Nino on the grass, he held his right arm, Nino’s head lay there for all night, he wished he could experience the same thing more often, but the reality is upside down, Nino is gone, forever. Aiba slumped to the grass and watched the sky, the park was empty of people, he’s the only one person who visits it at this hour.
“Nino, look! the sky is so bright, if there’s a falling star, let’s make a wish,” Aiba talked to himself and felt his tears rolled down to his cheeks while he speaks, he wants to released his anger, but to who? If only he stayed at the basement for the longer time, Nino must be still alive by now. Even though the shorter didn’t have any romantic feeling for him, but at least they can still be together and Aiba will wait forever until Nino loves him more than just a best friend. He felt empty, like someone’s ghost, he wonders if Nino’s corpse has been found by the forensic team, and he’s afraid to go the morgue the next day, he doesn’t want to see Nino there, lying deadly.
He was surprised when he heard footsteps coming closer, when he lifted his head, he saw a man who looks like Nino’s boss. He heard the man sighed deeply and he sat at the nearest bench, perhaps he doesn’t realize Aiba’s presence, the man brought two cans of beer in the plastic bag, he put them beside him and opened one of them, drink it like he never drink something before.
“Do you come here to think?” Aiba said without moving his head from the night sky, the man threw his first can and took the second one while answering, “Cursing the day exactly, where is your friend?” he asked back.
“He went to the better place,” Aiba pays attention to the sparkling star, maybe Nino already become one of them, watching him from up above, waiting until Aiba goes there too.
“I was dumped,” Sakurai said, “Though I never tell my feeling straight forward to him,” Aiba finally turned his head to see the man’s face, the bitter grin crossed his lips, maybe he’s drunk and didn’t know what he said.
“He chose the living corpse more than me, but that zombie will die soon, right?” the man finished his second beer and lay down on the bench.
“Don’t worry, the zombie will die and you can grab your boyfriend back to you,” Aiba answered, if Jun already dead, Ohno must feels the same way like him. He hopes there is no other crazy person who would develop something to bring the dead man back to life. But he loves that crazy one, and he helped him, which lead them into unexpected happening and Nino was so hopeless and found the short cut to end his life.
“What do you think of it? These three days is so strange,” Sakurai said while played his can, he also stare at the night sky from the bench.
“My days are so much weirder than yours,” he doesn’t know this man, but from what Nino told him, he guess that he is in love with Ohno, and now Ohno keeps the living corpse with him. Aiba sighed, everything is so complicated and in the end, none of them can get their love. Nino was dumped by Ohno, Sakurai loves Ohno but Ohno fell in love to the zombie who will die in next few days, meanwhile he, he lost Nino, the most important person in his life.
Aiba closed his eyes, perhaps, this is the faith for them, he would try to face his days without Nino from now on.
None of them speak for the rest of the night, Aiba tried to sleep but he can’t. Nino’s face haunted him whether he opens his eyes or close them. So he stayed awake for all night, heard the insects sound surround him and left the park around 5 am, the man named Sakurai was nowhere to be found. He walked towards the morgue without changing his clothes first. He greeted his partner who looks so sleepy, he put his head above the table.
“You can go home,” Aiba said to his friend, he took the note book from him and hardly read it, Nino’s name was on top of the page. He gulped, tried hard not to cry.
His friend rose from the seat and waved good bye to him, Aiba looked at the note once again, searched for the cooler box number, he wants to see Nino again. He walked to the box, prepared his heart and pulled it open, but the box was empty, Nino wasn’t there.

It’s been five days since the first day they met, Ohno knows there is no hope for Jun to live longer, so he decided to spend the rest of the days only in his room, to hold Jun tight before the handsome man die again, go the eternally once again, but this time, he would go forever.
“Jun, if you reborn to the world, let’s meet again,” Ohno said, his hands touched Jun’s cold skin which becomes so much colder every minute.
“Sure, I’ll come to you again,” Jun answered weakly with his hoarse voice, his head attached to Ohno’s chest, Ohno wiped his thick black hair, at least they met even though for the very short moment, but he will keep it forever in his heart. He’s not sure if he can fall in love again or not after this, he doesn’t want to break someone else’s heart anymore like what he did to Nino and Sho.
So this is his punishment, can’t own the person he likes with all of his heart, maybe Nino hates him so much, that’s why he sent Jun to him and make him fall in love to the corpse who will die again. He leaned his head towards Jun and whispered “Jun, I’ll never forget you, you’ll stay forever in my heart.”

They are standing side by side at the train station with the heavy backpack on their back, waiting for the next train. One of them checked his watch every minute to make sure that they still have enough time, meanwhile the other is playing the game in his phone while eating a hamburger.
They will go somewhere far away, just the both of them, maybe to try other crazy things together at the new place or just live as normal as they can. When the train finally arrives, the one who checked his watch dragged his friend’s hand.
“Hurry up, we’ll be late!”
Their fingers lingered to each other, as if afraid there’s something make them apart again. But it would never happen, since they bond their heart and soul to each other.
