Chapter 9 (final)
It was almost pass noon when the court finished, and it was the first time for Jun to see Nino’s action as the lawyer. His serious face was really confident to explain fact by fact he had collected with Sakurai’s help. Jun held Yuri tighter to him, crossed his fingers for the best final result eyeing Sakurai nodded from the corner of the room to support him. Jun remembered his talk with the chief about Matsuoka, but he already requested to investigate that case after everything with Ohno finished.
Ohno listened to every detail Nino said and answered clearly when the judge asked him about what happened that night. He told how someone was handing the bag to him and ran away without him knowing anything then police officers came and arrest him without giving him chance to explain himself.
“Daddy, Papa can go home after this?” Yuri asked quietly, she tilted up to Jun.
“Yes,” Jun nodded to her. “He will read story for you tonight,” he stroked his daughter’s head lovingly.
“We’ll announce the result in fifteen minutes,” the judge said to the attendances.
Nino approached Ohno while collecting his papers, he gave Ohno weak smile and Jun pay attention on them without blinking his eyes. Ohno bowed and said something but Jun couldn’t hear it from his place.
“Seems that they get along with each other,” Sakurai commented from his left side. Jun turned his head to the police and smiled.
“They should do it since a long time ago,” he replied.
“It’s much better than never,” Sakurai said again before darted to both of them. Ohno turned his back to Jun and Yuri, their gaze met. Jun didn’t need any word from his husband to know what’s on the other’s mind, the optimistic smile decorated Ohno’s thin lips and how Jun wished to hold the man so tight right now. But the final result hadn’t come out yet, they can’t say that they’re truly free from the case.
Fifteen minutes passed, the judge brought her hammer to the desk and demanded full attention from the attendances before she reads the decision.
“Ohno Satoshi is freed from any accusation and he can leave the jail start from today. Hamamatsu police made mistake on his case and his reputation would be cleaned. He can return to his normal life without any crime record.” She knocked the desk with her hammer three times. The attendances in that room mumbling but Jun didn’t care, he ran to Ohno with Yuri in his arm, held his husband with one hand while trying hard to hold back his tears from falling.
“Satoshi,” he sobs. Yuri reached her Papa, drowned her face on Ohno’s neck. From the corner of his eyes, Jun can see Sakurai smiled widely, he approached the man and bowed deeply.
“Thank you so much Sakurai san,” he said, Sakurai shook his head and pointed to the other direction, “It’s all Nino’s effort, I was just helping,” he humbly said. Jun turned back and saw Nino left the room quietly. Jun was about to call after his brother but…
“Nino san, wait!” the one who called him was Ohno. He darted to the door while lifting Yuri, Jun watched the scene with pounding heart, waited for his brother to react.
“You should come to our house, I want to thank you properly,” Ohno said clearly to the other.
Nino kept silent for a moment, seems thinking so hard before answering.
“Please uncle Nino,” Yuri demanded, extended her small fingers to Nino’s cheek. Nino took deep breath and exchange his sight with Jun, the later nodded to agree with Ohno’s invitation.
“Alright,” he said, tried hard to not see Ohno’s face. Jun sighed in relieve, he thundered to them, circled his arm to Ohno, “Let’s go home.”
Nino muttered that he still needs to talk with Sakurai, so Jun, Yuri and Ohno continued to walk towards the exit. Ohno inhaled deep breath after they are outside, he lifted his head to the sky, enjoyed his freedom to the fullest.
“I don’t know that the air outside can be so fresh,” he said, smiled to Jun who still cling to him, just like Yuri who denied being apart with her Papa.
“Jun kun, O-chan!” Aiba waved his hand energetically, he approached them in instant, “I’m sorry for being late,” he said.
“O-chan congratulation, your ship is waiting for you,” the taller patted Ohno’s shoulder.
“Thanks for all you have done for Yuri and Jun while I wasn’t there for them, Jun told me everything, how you help with the finance,” Ohno glanced to Jun, the later can only form a smile.
Aiba is a real savior to him, since the first time they met when he was almost raped. Jun suddenly realized something, he didn’t tell anything to Aiba about the court but the other is here. Was it probably because his presence was needed in the case, as the eye witness for Jun? Jun kept his mouth shut, he didn’t want to tell Ohno about the other case. Not now when Ohno still enjoy his first day freedom, his husband would be in shock again if he knew what happened to Jun.
“Let’s have dinner together in our house,” Ohno invited the other just like what he did to Nino.
“I have a little business tonight but I’ll visit you soon,” he answered, still in cheerful smile.
“I’ll take a leave now,” he bowed a bit to them and disappeared.
Jun watched the other until he walked to the left and can’t be seen anymore, he looked at Ohno on his right side, perhaps he would tell Ohno after everything settled down.
“We have to buy some vegetables and meat for tonight,” he led the way. His husband followed behind him with Yuri almost sleep on his shoulders.

“How can you manage not to tell me about that?” Ohno tried hard to keep his voice low so he wouldn’t wake Yuri up from her nap.
Sakurai just brought the case to the surface and Aiba also Jun already gave the clear explanation about what happened that afternoon. Matsuoka was arrested not only because he tried to rape Jun, but also it was proved he was the one who planned everything in Ohno’s case.
“I don’t want to add any stress to your days in jail Satoshi.” Jun replied while washing the dishes. They just finished their peaceful lunch after a long time, two months seems like forever to Jun.
“Great, my partner was almost raped and I didn’t even know about it.” Ohno looked annoyed and really unhappy.
“The case is finished and nothing happened, let’s focus on another thing,” Jun said, dried his hands with the napkin. It was when Ohno hold him from behind and put his head to his shoulder, that Jun then covered Ohno’s hand with his. Wondering how he had missed his husband so much.
“I will never forgive him for touching you,” Ohno hissed on his ear.
“And I don’t want you to be in jail again,” Jun flipped back and kissed Ohno’s cheek. He released his body from Ohno and walked to the dining table, opened the note book, the note about their ship rental. Jun counted the income for these three weeks which was not bad, it progresses well.
“Jun, I’m so sorry that I wasn’t there when you needed me the most,” Ohno said. He froze at his place, Jun tilted up to him and looked through Ohno’s eyes.
“But you will always be with me forever now, that’s all that matter, beside, it made me realize how important you are for me Satoshi, it was over and I hope never happen again,” Jun answered, returned to his calculator and let Ohno gave him another kiss on his head.
Ohno darted to the tatami, slumped his back there, just like two months ago, they enjoyed the peaceful afternoon. Ohno planned to start his work back from tomorrow, so they have full day to be together. He finished to count the income and followed Ohno to lie on the floor. Ohno extended his arms and Jun snuggled perfectly into those loving, waiting arms.

“Satoshi, where are we going?” Jun questioned, it was still 4 am in the morning when Ohno woke him up but covered his eyes with cloth.
“Sttttt don’t make noise, Yuri would hear you,” Ohno whispered, Jun blindly gropes Ohno’s body and found Yuri in his arms. He knew that the other wanted to give him surprise, but this is too much, he was still sleepy and need to sleep more. He felt himself more sleepy and greedy lately, he just wanted to eat and sleep.
Ohno guided him slowly to the door and to the stairs after carrying Yuri first. All Jun knew was his husband rent a car for them on the previous day, but he didn’t know where they will go. Ohno gripped his hand and guided him to the car this time, fasten his seat belt and told him to sleep again. Jun tried hard to sleep but he can’t with his eyes covered. He leaned his head to the chair and waited for the car to reach their destination which he still doesn’t know where.
“What celebration is this?” Jun asked after some times in silent. They might have drive for more than half hour.
“Nothing special,” Ohno answered from his right side.
“Is Yuri okay?”
“She’s not like you who can’t sleep in the car,” Ohno chuckled a bit and the car ran slower indicated that they arrived already.
“Come on Princess,” Ohno said to his daughter first. Yuri grumbled but it seemed that she didn’t wake up yet. Ohno closed the back seat door and approached Jun.
“Hold my hand Jun,” Ohno gave him his free hand. Jun gripped his wrist and protested, “Why didn’t you open the cloth so you don’t need to do this, we arrived after all.”
“Never,” Ohno kept dragging him until Jun felt that he stepped on the sand. His face was hit by the wind and he can smell salty aroma, Ohno must brought him to the beach.
“Welcome to my new ship,” his husband whispered on his ear, slowly get his eyes free from the cloth which covered them. Jun blinked few times to focus his sight, he saw the huge silhouette in front of him, it’s different from their previous ship. He turned to Ohno who smiled to him.
“Surprise,” Ohno said quietly.
“Satoshi, you’re a big fat liar.” Jun softly hit his chest with matching grin on his face. He had wondered why the other refused to speak about his income and now here he stood before their second ship.
“I am not fat,” Ohno formed smug on his face, “Come on let’s ride it,” he guided Jun while patted Yuri’s head. She still sleep so soundlessly, didn’t show any sign that she will wake up. Jun followed the shorter, they climbed to the captain deck.
“Let’s go to the open sea,” he said, Jun took Yuri from him and chuckled to see the enjoyment on Ohno’s face, he totally look like a kid who just found his favorite toys.
“Daddy, where are we?” Yuri finally opened her eyes, she yawned and looked around.
“We are at the sea, Papa will ride us to the far place,” Jun answered, kissed her head. Ohno leaned and gave his daughter another kiss.
“Want to drive with me?” he asked.
Yuri nodded and reached her Papa’s arm. Jun left them to the outer deck, the strong wind hit his face, shivered a bit he walked to the edge, the sky is still dark, he stayed there, inhaled the deep breath. Ohno worked so hard so he can buy another ships, meanwhile Jun continued his part time job or sometimes helping Ohno when he has enough time. Their first ship was rent by Aiba’s friend for almost three months and the price was quite good.
He can say that they have more than enough now. Nino often visited since he decided to resign from his former office in Tokyo. He said to Jun with half-lie that he is bored with Tokyo situation while Jun already knew that Nino moved here because of Sakurai.
Yuri will have her 5th birthday next month, she becomes so much cuter and resemble Ohno more each day. But she is not quite like her Papa, she loves to talk about everything she found, Jun sometimes tired to answer her question. The ship suddenly stopped, he looked around, thinking that maybe Ohno has some problem, but then he saw his daughter ran to him with Ohno behind her.
“Is this the surprise?” Jun squatted tried to lift Yuri but Ohno stopped him.
“I just want to see the sunrise with you and Yuri,” Ohno laughed, approached him and kiss his cheek.
“Kiss me too Papa,” she demanded. Ohno squatted and gave her sweet kiss on her cheek. Jun did the same thing.
“I want to eat omelet today,” Yuri said all of sudden, it makes Jun chuckled, he lifted Yuri, “Okay Princess.” They stood up there, looked to the eastern sky which turned red, the light reflected by the sea, very beautiful,
“Daddy put me down.” Yuri said suddenly. Jun put her down to the deck and let her run surround it. Ohno moved closer to him, circled his arm to Jun’s waist.
“She grew up,” Ohno looked at her.
“We’ll miss her when she grows up,” Jun leaned closer to Ohno, enjoyed the sun heat on his skin. Ohno hold his waist, both of them stay still like that for couple of minutes until Yuri joined and wanted her Papa to lift her.
“She favorites you more than me,” Jun rubbed Yuri’s head, gained a cute look from his girl.
“It means Yuri needs a little brother or sister so we are balance ne.” Ohno chuckled and lifted Yuri so high above him, the laughing voice can be heard at the opening see in the peaceful morning. Jun turned his head to the sky, feel the breeze which blew his hair, he believes that his family will be alright from now on, until forever after.
A phone call heard from his pocket, Jun took it and saw Nino’s name on the screen. He used to be so worry every time Nino called him, but that was a long time ago. His brother had become his best friend just like when they were children.
“What’s up Nino,” he answered the phone, searched for a place which free from the wind.
“Jun, I’ll get marry.”
“W-what?” Jun stuttered, it’s so sudden, but he had a feeling that Nino already planned it without telling him first.
“Yes, next two weeks, I hope you can be my best man,” Nino said cheerfully. He heard so much happiness in the tone which the rare thing for Jun.
“Sure, wow, congratulation, do you need me to accompany you to choose the suit?”
“No need, you have bad taste,” Nino teased him.
“Say hi for Sakurai san as well,” Jun said. He heard Nino said bye before he ended up the call. He approached Ohno and Yuri, tell them about the good news.
“Finally,” Ohno smiled to him.
“Shall we cook something now?” he lifted Yuri once again and dragged Jun’s hand to the deck where the small kitchen located. It seemed that Ohno prepared everything without Jun knowing it. They spent one day at the sea, Jun chose to take a nap when Yuri and Ohno went for fishing. He saw very beautiful dream, a dream about having second child.

“We’ll miss her when she grows up,” Jun leaned closer to Ohno, enjoyed the sun heat on his skin. Ohno hold his waist, both of them stay still like that for couple of minutes until Yuri joined and wanted her Papa to lift her.
“She favorites you more than me,” Jun rubbed Yuri’s head, gained a cute look from his girl.
“It means Yuri needs a little brother or sister so we are balance ne.” Ohno chuckled and lifted Yuri so high above him, the laughing voice can be heard at the opening see in the peaceful morning. Jun turned his head to the sky, feel the breeze which blew his hair, he believes that his family will be alright from now on, until forever after.
A phone call heard from his pocket, Jun took it and saw Nino’s name on the screen. He used to be so worry every time Nino called him, but that was a long time ago. His brother had become his best friend just like when they were children.
“What’s up Nino,” he answered the phone, searched for a place which free from the wind.
“Jun, I’ll get marry.”
“W-what?” Jun stuttered, it’s so sudden, but he had a feeling that Nino already planned it without telling him first.
“Yes, next two weeks, I hope you can be my best man,” Nino said cheerfully. He heard so much happiness in the tone which the rare thing for Jun.
“Sure, wow, congratulation, do you need me to accompany you to choose the suit?”
“No need, you have bad taste,” Nino teased him.
“Say hi for Sakurai san as well,” Jun said. He heard Nino said bye before he ended up the call. He approached Ohno and Yuri, tell them about the good news.
“Finally,” Ohno smiled to him.
“Shall we cook something now?” he lifted Yuri once again and dragged Jun’s hand to the deck where the small kitchen located. It seemed that Ohno prepared everything without Jun knowing it. They spent one day at the sea, Jun chose to take a nap when Yuri and Ohno went for fishing. He saw very beautiful dream, a dream about having second child.
